“Mall of America” is a new track by vern matz, a duo consisting of Daniel Belgrad and Michael Lituchy. Their sound is characterized by a palette of a Lo-fi Rock rhythm section, bittersweet melodies and a purposeful vocal delivery. The piece follows an unconventional structure without clear distinction between the verses and the chorus. A musical piece, simple and complex at the same time, which grasps the listener’s attention from the first 2 minutes revealing the song’s irresistibly mellow and touching melody at the final third minute.
The track is being released on Nice Guys Records. I’d call it, The art of songwriting.
Mall of America is about Minnesota, old flames, and classic indoor malls.
