Describe your sound in 3 words

RnB, Soulful, Alternative

Tell us a few things about Only One, your debut release as a solo artist. What is the main idea behind it?

I wrote only one about an ex boyfriend of mine. We were together 4 years and he broke up with me but after a few months tried to come back into my life. My friends and family did not want me to take him back but I was blinded by love. The song is about me wanting to understand him and thinking I could when in reality I was so wrong.

What made you gravitate towards RnB?

I wanted my music to have an edge to it and I’ve grown up listening mostly to RnB music which definitely inspired me to create my own.

We are going through a 90s/00s revival at the moment. Do you think that this trend has produced new hidden gems or do you see a recycling of older hits?

I think that lots of great music has come from this new trend however I think we are living in a different world now than in the 90s/00s and music has really changed since then. I see a lot of artists recycling older hits, music is about creativity, creating your own sound, not trying to recreate songs that have already been major hits.

Favorite album of the past decade?

Be Right Back by Jorja Smith

What are the main ingredients that make London one of the world’s leading music cities?

London is full of creatives and people from diverse backgrounds.

What isn’t a crime but should be?

Future plans?

I am looking to grow in the music business and find out more about myself and the music I am making. I want to perform to crowds and share my music with the world because it means so much to me and I feel what I sing about is very relatable.

Thank you!
