A taste of escape. Upbeat but melancholic. Electronic but with many organic elements in it. Detuned pianos, mellow guitars. The core melodic element of the song is based on the eternal beauty of the tonic/dominant progression that carries you away. Let’s dance it away. Read our interview with the artist below!
Describe your sound in three words please!
Immersive, cinematic, authentic
Who/What is your biggest influence?
my mom and intuition
You seem like a person who enjoys being outside. What makes an ideal day (or night) out?
My ideal night out would be dancing with friends I love on a dance floor with phenomenal djs while making crazy spontaneous stories that we’ll never forget.
You mentioned that you didn’t want to rely on others to make your own music. What do you think is the biggest challenge for young musicians nowadays?
saturation in the market and the accecibility to making fast music which may take away the journey of finding new sounds, textures and meaning.
Which one of your songs represents you the most and why?
I can’t choose one, I feel as if each song represents a part of me 🙂
Which is the best album you have heard in a while?
‘Help’ by Duval Timothy. His harmonies speak directly to my heart and the way he plays the piano moves me to tears in every song.
Music-related plans for the near future?
Getting more into DJing parties.
What would you do if you were not making music? Would it be dance or something completely different?
Neuroscientist, focusing on the impact of meditation on the brain.
Thank you!
