It’s clear from the opening seconds that “Cycling” is the artistic child of a producer obsessed about rhythm. Drummer and producer Efajemue delivers a rich, beautifully polished groove that works exceptionally well alongside Francisco Ojeda’s fat electric bass. On top of that rhythm section, the key work shines through, lush, nicely detuned vintage synth layers pair with clean acoustic piano to create that modern nu-jazz sound that screams cool without even trying. The song is taken from his upcoming album, FLOW (out November 5th).
