Very Difficult Operation by Mt. Heron hits with a heavy, half-step Dubstep groove, pairing crisp drum layer programmed against saturated bass sounds that cover both the sub and mid freq spectrum. The track utilizes those signature dubstep-flavored pauses, replacing them with heavy synth wobbles, right on the first beat to hold back the momentum before crashing back in. The intricate percussion sounds act almost as a melody themselves, balancing between rhythmic drive and tonal accents while the atmospheric spoken word samples and energetic vocal chops float across the top, injecting a narrative element into the dark soundscape. It takes you back to the era when Magnetic Man were leading the way. Good old times. Listen below!
