Describe your sound in 3 words

Piano – Memories – Harmony

Tell us a few things about CHILDHOOD. What is the story behind it?

The idea and the desire to create the album were born from my pregnancies.
My childhood came back to me and I needed to pay tribute to this period of my life. This album is like a photo album of my past where I pay tribute to the people and the moments that are dear to me, that built me up.

How did your experience as a mother influence the album’s creation?

Feeling life being born in me was very inspiring. The idea I defend in this album is that creation and procreation are not incompatible. Becoming a mother takes energy but also gives a lot of energy. I tried to transform this energy into music. This state of being a pregnant woman inspired me something sweet, nostalgic but also a form of power, a positive creative force. I have been told that my compositions have a quiet strength.

What is the biggest challenge you have faced as an artist so far?

To succeed as a woman to exist, to impose myself in an artistic world, (a world at all) unfortunately still too much stemming from a patriarchal model. But it is moving 😅

Favourite pianist?

Tough question, there are many. But the one I listen to and who inspires me the most recently is Shai Maestro. His modern jazz but classical playing with a great sense of melody and repetition touches me a lot.

What is your happiest childhood memory?

When we were children, with my two brothers, after every meal in the evening we would go crazy. We would run around, fight, bicker, cuddle, like naïve, lively cubs playing with a full belly in their den.

Will AI replace musicians?

Never !

What would be the tagline to the sitcom of your life?

Around the world with music and family!

Thank you!
