Sadie is back with their second single, “Mirror,” a glimpse into their highly anticipated debut EP. The song blends some vintage detuned synth elements, with varied guitar work that drives the arrangement. The rhythm section sets a nicely lo-fi atmosphere, while the heavy on effects vocals add an ethereal touch. The songwriting follows a simple yet effective 8-meter pattern that remains consistent throughout, drawing you into its dreamy soundscapes. Drawing inspiration from one of the band’s favourite films, “The Truman Show,” “Mirror” even features a brief dialogue sample from the movie, tucked at the song’s conclusion.
