Describe your sound in 3 words:
organic, soulful, melodic
Tell us a few things about Sunliight and Hidden in the Mist.
These are two songs which building a double-siingle together. In a way, both songs are two sides of the same coin. Sunliight is more about showing yourself to the world, hidden in the mist is more about the freedom of hiding yourself.
How to begin Loving Yourself? What is the secret?
I think it’s about loving the part that dont loves you first. accepting that there are different voices inside of your head, and that they are in a constant conversation. meditiation could be the first step, in just detecting how they are speaking with each other 🙂 we are all in the same boat here.
You define your music under the unique genre organic electronic. What makes a song organic electronic?
the opposite would be a generic, digital sound. I love the imperfection and weirdness of samples. I do a lot of “fieldrecording”, nature sounds, real instruments in my production and combining them with electronic elements, analogue synthesizer etc
How did you two meet?
I saw MULAY at a concert in arnhem and was totally fascinated by her vocalperfomance but also by her presence on stage. I knew it would be a good match musically and personally 🙂 now we’re also good friiends.
Artists and people that have influenced you?
lately: bon iver, james blake, tennyson, and most of all: my personal friendships and invironment in germany (cologne, berlin, hamburg)
What isn’t a crime but should be?
damaging the invironment, eating animals (or at least givin them some rights as well as human beiings, which are also animals)
What’s next for you?
visiting india for a little concert tour & finishing my debut album for late 2023 🙂
