Electronic, Nostalgic, Futuristic

Tell us a few things about this new project. What is the story behind it?

We wanted to start something different. Nowadays music is so much linked to the visual element – we had in mind something extremely coherent, working on the music at the same time as the visuals. With the help of AI, this task has been even more interesting.

If what we see in the video clip of Coherence, a city that is constantly changing and evolving, was a real place, which city would that be?

Being mainly based in London, this video reflects the life in this city, where everything goes really fast, where you sometimes feel very small, constantly surrounded by people but also feeling lonely at times.

Are we on a slippery slope towards dystopia?

Technology evolution brings a lot of opportunities and a lot of threats for the humanity. We are constantly virtually connected to each other and at the same time we all feel this weird feeling of loneliness. The dystopia portrayed in books or movies is still far from us but we can see it coming.

Should art always challenge whoever consumes it?

Art should bring indirect questions to the consumer but should not be seen as a challenge. Art is a way of expression and we see it as something that should remain something accessible, easy to digest.

Artists and people that have influenced you?

Lorn on the music side, Katushiro Otomo obviously on the visual side. I’ve recently watched “Everything Everywhere All at Once”, this movie was very inspiring.

What does the future hold for you?

We are already working on a lot of new projects – collaboration with amazing visual artists, working on some videos for other music artists, and of course working on our second music video.

What is a crime but shouldn’t be?

I’ve been watching the states moving to restrict abortion rights, and I personally support that “my body, my choice”.

We totally agree. Thank you!
