We usually space out coverage of the same artist, but the drop of the new Please Dept. album and its title track, ‘Let Me Know’ made it impossible to wait. It starts with a real jolt: a fortissimo (almost saturated), chaotic piano layer that contrasts sharply with the soft, clean vocals. Then, the string section enters, as playful as it gets, adds the perfect symphonic touch. Throw in some harpsichord lines, a climactic, track-shifting bridge and even more piano layers, and the deal is sealed. Everyone here loved it. And I am sure you will love it too.
