“The White Lodge” by Copenhagen’s sextet, The Counterfictionals, is a deeply atmospheric track. What really gets you is that hypnotic feel, which just sinks you into its melancholic depths. And the sheer sorrow in the songwriting makes it the type of music that begs for a Paolo Sorrentino signature long take to be shot to. The one that might initially seem like a filled with beauty perfume ad, kind of superficial, yet harbors hidden symbolism that lingers long after.
