Part of 7 PM to Mumbai was written literally on a 7 PM Flight to Mumbai! Tell us a few things about the track and the story behind it.
I was headed to play Lollapalooza festival in Mumbai (on drums with Raveena Aurora), and it was a lengthy flight. I took an edible, wrote the verse before it kicked in too heavy, then passed out haha.
Your most honest and personal lyric?
One powerful line off of lucky 7’s intro song “how it goes” is:
Talked to my grandmother today, she gave me clarity. Realized I need to call her more cause it’s a rarity.”
Favorite rapper, lyricist and producer?
Hard to pick 1 so I’ll throw out a few:
Rappers/lyricist- MF DOOM, Andre 3000, Kendrick Lamar, Mos Def, Jay-Z, and a lot more
What does hip hop symbolize in your opinion?
freedom, reflection of the times, lifestyle, and perspective
Is Spotify the music industry’s new Gatekeepers?
absolutely, Automated gatekeepers at that; scamming the creators on their platform.
Something not many people know about you?
I’m left-handed
What advice would you give to your younger self
fully indulge in music and don’t waste your time on the football field lol.
Thank you!
