Arjuna Oakes – The Love That I Feel [Review]

I’m admittedly biased when it comes to Arjuna Oakes. After catching his debut London performance at Servant Jazz Quarters, one of the city’s coolest intimate venues, I knew he was an artist worth following. In “The Love That I Feel,” Arjuna Oakes seamlessly blends jazzy guitar riffs with a groove infused with funky energy and a smooth bassline. The sax improvisations elevate the track’s cool factor, while the dreamy keyboard melodies complete the vibe. Last but not least, the vocal delivery is precise, perfectly complementing the production while lyrically exploring the struggle of expressing emotions. It’s fresh nu-jazz from an emerging artist you should definitely keep on your radar! Listen below!
