Describe your sound in 3 words
Sharp, soft, soulful.
Tell us a few things about Hope. The song is described as conveying hope in humanity and transmitting love. How did you approach infusing these emotions into the musical composition?
I tried to create a solid ground with just two chords that accept so many scales, and that’s what I compare to life itself. There´s always two sides of a coin, two opinions, two versions of the story, good and bad, yes or no, but, in the middle, infinite options are accepted in order to make a decision. That’s why I keep hope in humans, cause from time to time appears someone special, with so much love inside that inspires the most of us and helps to create a better version of ourselves.

Wayne Shorter, Miles Davis, Bill Evans, Scott LaFaro, Sarah Vaughan, Esperanza Spalding, Brad Mehldau, Kenny Barron, John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, Chick Corea, Jaco Pastorius, among others.
Should music as a form of art always challenge the listener?
I think so, in a way that challenging the listener means catching his/her attention and atraction in the very moment they lend you an ear. That’s a small chance in which I need to express myself as much as possible with my music.
If the music of Carlos Meneses was a film, which film would that be?
Pulp fiction.
Do you have an artist that you would describe as a hidden gem that we should know about?
Charles Goold.
In which place or state of mind do you imagine people might listen to your music?
A calmed state of mind is required if you want to really listen to my music. If you just want to feel it, I suggest you to find a peaceful place and moment, surrounded by nature if possible, cause my music is deeply inspired in it. You can also enjoy some of my songs which have a lot of energy, in a party, driving or running…
