Describe your sound in 3 words
Detailed, Vintage & Experimental
How did the two of you meet and start making music together?
We met at a boarding school at 16 and became friends through playing Pink Floyd covers and such. We began writing our own songs later that same year.
Tell us a few things about Lost at the movies. What is the story behind it?
It was supposed to be a much bigger release and originally included 13 tracks. When we started writing these songs, we had no intention of actually forming a band and releasing them. It was an experimental process to test our abilities for writing, recording and producing.
We became very fond of the songs and eventually it was a no-brainer to make it into a project.
What was the significance of your three-month getaway to the Danish countryside in the creation of the EP?
This was the period where everything took form. We actually had planned to be done with an entire album when the three months were over, which turned out to be completely foolish! But all the arrangements and almost all the recordings were done in this period.
Your most honest and personal lyric?
We are not really the main characters of our songs and lyrics. We like to write weird stories and describe strange and absurd images. I guess all the lyrics feel honest and personal to us but in a deliberately disconnected way.
Artists and people that have influenced you?
I guess while creating these songs The Flaming Lips has been a major inspiration. And to be fair mixer and producer Dave Fridmann has influenced our way of producing a lot.
Danish actor Jarl Friis Mikkelsen has been in our minds during the creation of all the songs. We cannot really say why but he really is a stand up guy!
Would you reveal each other’s funny habits?
Next time baby !
A song you are secretly obsessed with?
Christian is kinda secretly obsessed with I Kissed a girl by Katy Perry.
The Actor (remix ’99) by the Michael Learns to Rock goes for the both of us hehe!
Thank you!
