Grimson – Fault Lines [ Review]

Well I tried my best to cover it
But you cannot hide the depth of fault lines

Fault Lines is part of Swedish/American songwriter Grimson’s debut album titled Climbing Up the Chimney. The songwriting has a lovely melancholia, the arrangement is characterised by its numerous guitar layers while its warmly saturated sound engages the audience in a cosy embrace. The vocals, eq and processed in a creative manner, are enriched by the addition of harmony rich back vocals.
If I was transported to a world of whimsy and wonder, roaming through strange places filled with a diverse array of creatures, humans, and non-humans, fault lines would undoubtedly serve as the perfect soundtrack casting a spell of enchantment with every note.
