‘HAWD HITTIN’ MUSIC’ | Interview with Vulture Theory x HAWD HITTA

Vulture Theory joins forces with HAWD HITTA for SYNTHETIC SANDS, a proper EDM banger that you shouldn’t miss adding to your “get ready for the summer festivals” playlist.

Describe your sound in 3 words

HAWD HITTIN’ MUSIC

Tell us a few things about SYNTHETIC SANDS. What is the story behind it?

HAWD HITTA: This song started with Vulture Theory and it basically was sent over to me after we had FaceTimed. I was with NoBueno at the time and he added the half-time which made this a whole lot smoother of a transition into the second build up and drop

SYNTHETIC SANDS is driven by its riff indeed. Give us a synth riff, you wish you had composed yourselves.

Vulture Theory: Would say I’m impressed by a ton of artists out there, especially within the electronic dance community. We are loving the artists coming through Insomniac and what they are putting out in their concerts/festivals and labels, as well as others

What made you gravitate towards EDM?

Vulture Theory: Having gone to ICON Collective, I really felt like it could be something I got into and could thrive in. So many of my peers release music now that is house and bass house and they also were making it in school, so I figured why not go ahead and make music along those lines.

Last day on earth, you are playing your very last set in a big open air festival before an asteroid hits the earth. Which track do you pick to close your set?

HAWD HITTA: SYNTHETIC SANDSSSSSS

Do DJs or the crowd generally have more fun at a festival?

HAWD HITTA: I love getting on the stage and becoming an act, not just trying to hide my 6’ 4” frame behind a set of CDJs. I’m jumping off the stage. It’s all about having fun, and the crowd will have an equal amount of fun as the DJ right if the vibe is the same yeah?

What isn’t a crime but should be?

Vulture Theory: Farting in a crowded elevator

Future plans?

HAWD HITTA: Touring this fall, more songs with Vulture Theory and NoBueno and Jakk’d and my cousin “Meylan” his middle name for Robert Didier. We have a ton of work with him, and we are excited to unleash those string of songs later this fall (some with Vulture Theory).

Thank you!
